I have these two memorial cards of President Kennedy and
R.F.K. from years ago. I found them in a drawer at my Mom's
house.

I'm old enough to remember when we acknowledged both Lincoln's and Washington's birthdays separately. But we never got off school for either one.
I did use to wonder if all the other presidents just didn't count.🤷♀️

That's a rare occurrence for me to know something you don't. It's always the other way around.😉❤️

The Bob's Furniture Presidents Day Sale ads are pretty funny, featuring
John Tyler: "I haven't heard my name mentioned in 180 years!"
and William Henry Harrison about his short term Presidency: "It was a glorious 31 days!"...the shortest Presidential term in history!

I was in Chicago, Illinois for most of elementary school, so Lincoln's birthday was always a big deal.

But did you get off school that day, that's the important question!🤨😆

I'm in Illinois
It's NOT a big deal
In fact the Pillsbury Dough Boy has been working to lower the reverence of Abraham Lincoln.
Illinois is 48 out of the 50 in education.
