@Tissyanne, @1Snickers and All, Remember these? We called them sun suits. They were fun and cool to play in and just right if we started playing in the hose. We spent our summers outside playing all kinds of things. Making mud pies, playing with the plastic baseball and bat then turned on the back yard light and kept playing after dark. Almost always barefoot and oh so gross if we stepped on a snail.
@Sweet Caroline 1 , I do remember these sun suits. I also remember making mud pies. Skates, skate boards, bicycles. We had concrete side walks, and they were perfect for us.

I lived in a village that still exists and was the first planned community in the United States. The houses are mostly stucco with slate roofs. They're a mixture of single family homes and duplexes. I lived next to my Father's mother in a duplex and Mama's mother had a single house several blocks away. I remember those sun suits and the ice cream truck. We ran through sprinklers, and after that truck. I liked banana popsicles. We didn't have TV but the movie theater was within walking distance and we had Summer kids movies. On Saturdays we went all Summer for a $1. Book of tickets. We caught lightening bugs, ate watermelon and peaches with homemade ice cream (like @Tissyanne ) but we took turns churning it. Sweet memories of Summer! 🏘️🏡🏃♀️🍉🍑🍦🤸🏼♂️🚣🏼♀️🚴🏼♀️
