@Sweet Caroline 1 , I do remember these sun suits. I also remember making mud pies. Skates, skate boards,  bicycles. We had concrete side walks, and they were perfect for us.

       @Sweet Caroline 1 & all:  

           I lived in a village that still exists and was the first planned community in the United States. The houses are mostly stucco with slate roofs. They're a mixture of single family homes and duplexes. 
    I lived next to my Father's mother in a duplex  and Mama's  mother had a single house several blocks away. 
    I remember those sun suits and the ice cream truck. We ran through sprinklers, and after that truck. I liked banana popsicles. 
     We didn't have TV but the movie theater was within walking distance and we had Summer kids movies. On Saturdays we went all Summer for a $1. Book of tickets. 
     We caught lightening bugs, ate watermelon and peaches with homemade ice cream (like @Tissyanne ) but we took turns churning it. 
      Sweet memories of Summer!
