I didn't watch, but she's been around a long time.

There are other threads here about Teresa Caputo, I had never seen her before either.

@goldensrbest That would be Theresa Caputo. There have been several threads here about her in the past few days - just put her name in the search bar that says "search forums and blogs." I'll restrain myself from saying anything else.

She has a show on Lifetime called 'Raising Spirits'. It premiered last year and a second season is in the works.
ETA-
I was channel surfing and came across one of the shows. She was getting her hair done and I watched her stylist do it. I always thought it was a wig but it's not. It's her own hair.

I didn't watch last night but did watch her in The Long Island Medium that aired around 2011.
I can't say if Theresa truly connected with the spirits of the deceased, but she did give comfort, empathy and consolation to many who lost their loved ones. I can't condemn anything or anyone that lifts someone up who is devastated and inconsolable. People willingly pay for comforts such as clothing, trips and jewelry. If what they paid her made them feel better, then God bless them.

Theresa Caputo was on TLC for years. If you have had cable or satellite, I don't know how you could have missed the constant promos for "Long Island Medium".

@DSD2. In other words, she was performing a fraud and scam but if her victims had warm, fuzzy feelings, it was okay?
