Online site to intelligently discuss politics?

I know we can't discuss anything political on these boards, so does anybody have a recommendation for a discussion site where politics can be intelligently and respectfully discussed? Does such a site exist anywhere on the Internet? 🤔L

Seems like I recall the standards saying we can't refer to other BB sites. I'm sure there are many political sites.

I think that the only way to discuss politics in a nice, civilized way is to find a forum specifically set up only for people who share your views.

My friends and I discuss politics on Facebook. I am in many different Facebook groups that discuss politics on the local, state, and national level. I even have a small group of 8 friends who have our own Facebook group and we go out for dinner and drinks once a month to discuss politics.

There's a group I connected with on Meetup.com and that group meets weekly to discuss politics over lunch and once a month to celebrate the month's birthdays over dessert. I run into them when I go to political events around town or at the Capitol. When the Texas Lege is in session, we spend a LOT of time at the Capitol talking with our representatives.

I'm also in local political groups that meet monthly to discuss politics. We have monthly guest speakers that may include politicians, local interest groups, and more. I really like those meetings because before I would go into the election booth and wonder who those people running for Justice of the Peace or Constable are and now I've actually met them and discussed their ideas and platforms with them.
