Re: Old Navy sizing

[ Edited ]

@Another new name Sue  I wear a medium for Denim and Company, and I wear a large for Old Navy.

I find that Denim and Company has more sustantial material than Old Navy. Old Navy shirts and dresses are very thin (which is good if you like layering).

I just came in from Old Navy and all I can say is it's turned into a junk store.  They used to have such a nice selection of sweaters for men and women.

Really disappointed in both the selection and the quality of things.

There are so many pretty plaids this season, and I wanted a plaid shirt.  I like the buffalo plaid too.  I couldn't find anything I liked (even at Coldwater, Talbots). Amazon had some--hard to choose a size there too.    I saw ON had quite a few, so I broke down and got in the car and drove there.  They do have a lot of plaid flannel shirts.  The flannel is NOT heavy, which is good because daytime temps here are in the low 80's, and Christmas Day could be the same.  Here's what I got; it was the prettiest plaid they had, but there were some other nice ones.   I sized up to a M.  Even looked at large, but it was way too big.  I suspect it will shrink, so I can wear it as a "jacket."

They also had some  flannel pj bottoms for $7 which looked ok, drawstring waist.

I'm not crazy about ON--chemical smell, music too loud, long line to pay.  But I got a shirt!! Yay.
