well our niece is still hanging in there. Have not talked to anyone today. Don't want to be a nuisance.
Really having beautiful weather, cool at night, great for sleeping. Today was a very lazy day. Did nothing but read, had breakfast for dinner. Made blueberry pancakes, boy they tasted good, and sausages.
Viva,I hope I'm not being nosy, and if I am you don't need to answer, but just what does your hubby do for a living. Forgive me if I'm overstepping my bounds.
Birdmama,I was looking at the birds nest,my hubby had the chipmunk eating out of his hands. I think he's been here a while. Well, sadly he found him in the grass, gasping for breath,I knew he was dying. So hubby put him in the English ivy so nothing could get to him. He found him I later in the grass, dead. They only live a few short years. I know he was here a long time. We have others in the yard but none of them will come near us. Told hubby not to put food on the porch and leave it. Found feces from I think a fox . Don't want them on the porch.

Re: October 2020 Back Fence

[ Edited ]

I just got home from the laundromat.  There's nothing wrong with my washer, I just wanted to wash my comforter in a huge commercial machine.  I use the 3 load speed queen so that I know for sure that my comforter wasn't crowded and it washed and rinsed good.  Boy would I love to have one of those speed queens in my basement Heart

I'm drying it at home in my own dryer.

thank you all for your prayers, they are working. Colleen is still critical as is expected, but the head dr. Said she is doing amazingly good considering. They will start removing some of the tubes. She is responding more . They want to start physical therapy on Wed. ,God help her!  It's going to be a long, long road to recovery, but knowing her she will do what's necessary. Will not be giving you daily updates, don't want to bore you all. Am grateful for your prayers and good thoughts. Back Fencers are the best!💕

hey all

EPI, i was venting yesterday about everything .

my dh works for a manufacturing facility that works 24 hours a day 7 days a week year round/including holidays. He has been there 30 yrs come march, he spent 20 more in the military. Out of 50 yrs of wedded bliss, he has been gone 99.% of the time. He was on days at this work facility for 2o yrs but everyone quit here there and everywhere so no more bodies to be called on dh was next in line and he has been on shift for for past 2 yrs. this was suppose to be temporary but it is turning more into permanent situation. We are in our 70's, he feels he is still able to work which I don't mind but all the hours he puts in sometimes are just so hard for me to understand. When they tell him to work he has to work or no job.

It was so nice i opened up all the windows to air out the house.

not much else going on.

Wow Viva, that's some long hours for a man of any age. Hope when he retires he has many years to enjoy himself. My hubby retired after 20+ years in law enforcement W the government. He was still young and took a full time job with a major co. In security. It was hard on both of us to adjust to him being home between those jobs. But the second retirement was the right time and were enjoying it. Good luck to you both

Your husband has one heck of a work ethic @viva923  I'd probably be aggravated by his hours too.  You've dealt with it for a long time and I can understand why you want him around more - this is supposed be the golden years.  I guess me venting ain't helping the situation.  I guess what I'm trying to get at is - I understand where you are coming from Heart
