Good morning birders. @Bird mama thanks for the cute start for October! I can't believe it is already October.

We had a frost last night and I guess it will be the end of all the fresh produce at the local farm stands depending on who got the frost. We sure are going to miss all those yummy fresh tomatoes.

Today is a nice cool day and the leaves have already started to change color. I love everything about Fall including the nice cool crisp air.

Thank you, Bernie for our October nest. I hope you are feeling ok and not too sore from your fall.

Yesterday was my GD's 19th birthday and we, DD, 2 GDs and myself went to get pedicures and the girls got manicures. It was Homecoming for my youngest GD, and she wanted to look extra pretty for the dance.

Then we went out for supper at Ruby Tuesday's, one of my favorite restaurants, to celebrate the birthday girl. She, at age 19, wanted to go to the pumpkin patch so my daughter drove all of them over to Illinois, north of where I live and had a good time petting some animals and taking pictures with all kinds and colors of pumpkins.

It was an awesome Autumn day yesterday, cool, crisp, sunny and some color showing in trees. I think the high was in the mid 70ies. When I got home from church this morning, it was 65. bright and sunny.

I saw a lot of Monarch butterflies outside of church, flitting here and there among the beautiful flower gardens that line the way into the church and along the school building. The school closed this year, not enough students. Sad, because the school is really nice with a huge playground and soccer field
