I woke up especially early to turn on the TV and  check the storms. I can't believe this flooding and damage on the heels of Helene.

Prayers for anyone in or near this hurricaine area.

@Shanus

Lasy night was chaotic in so many ways and I’m nowhere near Fl!

The YouTube channel  "Ryan Hall, y'all" was one of my go-to's for information.

The Weather Channel was very informative too. Awhile ago they reported that all of the lake levels in Orlando had been lowered. This was interesting to me.

Yes, so over 100 tornadoes were reported in the county of St. Lucie...so devastating.

Wishing you and yours a good day today. ❤️‍🩹

Wishing them all well!   I was glued to the weather channel yesterday as I find meteorology quite interesting, plus I was bored to tears with Q's programming. (LOL)

DH calls me his weather lady!

Seems things could have been much worse even though it was pretty bad.  The tornadoes were as bad as the actual hurricane.   Seems there were some fatalities, sadly.  Prayers going out to all as the sun rises in Florida.

I have family and friends right in the path of the storm. I talked to them last night and most have evacuated.

@LTT1   Thanks and same to your family.

Although we're not near the ravages of Helene or now this FL storm Milton, my prayers are with all those suffering loss and damages to home and businesses.

It is so sad and hard to watch. The difference in what areas of the country experience.

One of the sheriffs was asked by a reporter if it was ok to talk to him as they were in the middle of flooding rescues and he talked about the ones who had lost their lives. I thought that was so good of him to say that.

I always think of that. As the world goes on and people are talking about everything there, the flooding,  tornadoes, for those who have lost those they love, the world doesn't go on. I feel so sad for anyone who has lost someone they love.

And how different again it is that in other parts of the country, people are ok. We can go on. Sometimes the world and life is just so hard. I guess every day and moment we can just live our lives as best we can and let those we love know that every single day.

Com Ed is sending 60 trucks from Illinois.  These guys really know their stuff.

Tornadoes. blizzards, flooding are some of the things they constantly deal with here,  Also they showed all of other agencies they are sending.

The Governor said he has several special disaster teams as soon as Florida is ready for them.

I am glad to say that my family members who live in the suburbs of Tampa had minimal damage & flooding in their neighborhood.  They have power too!

I'm sorry for all of those who have had extensive damage & flooding!

It's confounding why they send people like David Meir into the storm, he has always gone into dangerous areas but they have their weather specialists there,  it just seems like double jeopardy.  He is an outstanding newsman and a looker maybe he is has a large audience.
