Love when it says 'Welcome Home' when we pull in driveway
Oh how "extra"! I would love that
I don't know if my car can do that or not. I'm still going thru a 1000 settings.
It doesn't mention a verbal welcome.
yes, your Lincoln Nautilus can welcome you home with its Lincoln Embrace feature, which uses your key fob to trigger a sequence of lights and sounds as you approach. This welcome includes exterior lighting, puddle lights projecting the Lincoln logo on the ground, and illuminated door handles. You can customize or turn this feature on or off through the vehicle's touchscreen by going to Settings > Vehicle > Lighting > Welcome Lighting.
@monicakm The only thing I don't have is the illuminated door handles or 'approach' sounds. But, it's only a Tahoe. ![]()

After a round of antibiotics for what the Dr thought was a sinus infection, I was still having some pain at the tooth that was filled. Freaking out because of the stories I've read of an innocent cavity turning into a loss of all teeth and bone
I made an appt with the dentist. He can't see anything. More xrays didn't show anything different (than the first round), he has referred me to an endodontic dentist. I'm fine today but he sure had it angry yesterday!
Are you talking about Jenny McCarthy:
Jenny McCarthy is feeling thankful to be able to eat turkey this Thanksgiving, after enduring horrific recurring mouth infections.
"I've had nine surgeries this year, on my mouth," she revealed to PEOPLE. "I had one infection that turned into another and another, and then I had these growths show up on my eyeballs."
She says it started with a failed ceramic dental implant.
"My teeth were falling out, implants falling out. They finally had to dig into my jawbone and chipped away, and found I had a deep bone infection. I've been on antibiotics for a year, and have had to eat soft foods only."
@lgfan - that's awful for anyone to have to go through. I saw a recent pic of her where she had lost a lot of weight. Hope she gets to feeling better.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your primary reason for getting a dash cam? Was it wired? I don't want a wireless one but I don't want to have to take the inside of the car apart to hide cables. Was it a 4K resolution cam?
My husband installed it himself though I had wished he had gone someplace to have it professionally installed. A plug-in wire hung down which was distracting and I disconnected it after he passed away.
It's not a bad idea having a dash cam if you are in an accident and need proof for the authorities who was at fault. Also, I am interested now in the ones that are always working in the event that vandalism happens while the car is parked.
The next one I eventually get, I will have professionally installed plus know how to use it. I don't need or want my voice recorded every time I say a cuss word while driving. The one my husband had installed seemed complicated and I had no idea how to program it and everything was in small tiny print and had to be programmed before it was installed. @monicakm
edited to add additional thought....
I am guessing newer cars have built in cameras front and back that are always on and function as a dash cam too. I wish I could buy one. When my ship comes in...

Thanks! Our car does not have a dash cam. It has 360 degree cameras (including aerial views) but not a dedicated dash cam. When you start looking for a new camera, you might want to include the search words easy or simple, or "easy mode", or "most user friendly".

Most people have no idea how much surveillance is around them.
Those pods things in the house are always listening, but, did you know that phones map your surroundings, listen, and compile a virtual twin of you? Your wifi maps your movements too. Any "smart" device not only listens and maps you, but interconnects to other devices. Your Roomba...maps your house footprint and reports the data to the company. Your car links to all these devices....and the streetlights that surveil...look up "flock cameras". Even if you have minimal devices, your neighbors probably have Ring or some other surveillance device recording you.
For the "I don't have anything to hide, I'm not doing anything wrong" crowd= YOU aren't the one determining if what you're doing is "wrong".
