Sadly, my friend has MS and can no longer play her pedal harp. She needs some things done around her house, and I really needed a second smaller pedal harp for teaching purposes. I picked  this up from her on Monday with several broken strings, really needed cleaning because she just couldn't care for it anymore. I spent days since then cleaning it up and restringing it. I finished yesterday. Here is my  new-to-me Style 15 Lyon & Healy harp built in 1957. Harp Profile.jpg

@BriggsiePeawiggle  This is a beautiful harp and I would imagine you will be able to strum some angelic music.   Enjoy the works of your labor.

How beautiful!

@BriggsiePeawiggle  The harp is beautiful.  Make beautiful music with it.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

That is really beautiful!  I know they are expensive..a friend's daughter plays harp and they had a beauty built for her (I think it was in Chicago)...that was over 25 years ago, and it was VERY costly!  But oh, did it sound beautiful when she played!

I watched her doing the music in a production of The Fantastiks, and she really was!

I don't know one thing about a harp, but that is very pretty, @BriggsiePeawiggle. I hope your friend is feeling better soon.

How lovely that she found a home for it and knows students will learn on it. A nice instrument is a wonderful thing with many lives.  Enjoy.
