I've had the 6+ for awhile...love it.   Don't see what the 'S' series offers other than enhanced photo.  The pre/post photo recording is concerning...I know we are all being tracked with Google Maps, etc., but the photo recording just adds to the tracking functions.   I would also think that function would use a lot of memory, as well.  Can it be disabled?   For now, I'll wait for the future 7 or 8! Come back & report how you like it.  Smiley Happy

I ended up getting the rose gold iPhone 6 plus. I think it will be nice to be able to read the screen better. Right now I have an iPhone 5 and that screen is small.

Love my 6s got it about a month ago even though I knew the plus was coming out this month.

I realized the extra features on the plus were something I wouldn't need for the extra cost and didn't like it was large. (I have the mini iPad).

Hi @homedecor1 .. how were you able to get the 6s last month when they are only available for pre-order as of today (09-12-15)?  Do you mean you have the 6 which was released last year?  I have the 6 which I purchased last September.  I love it.  It is the perfect size for me.  i think the 6 plus would be too large.

I wondered that, also.  I asked my daughter and she thinks it had to have been last year's model.

She stayed up past midnight last night and was lucky enough to be able to get through to order and reserve one for pickup at the Apple store.

Re: " Don't see what the 'S' series offers other than enhanced photo."

What's better about the Apple 6s?  A lot, start here:

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have faster, more powerful processor.  The new A9 processor will have 70% faster performance and 90% faster graphics, but will also boost battery life in conjunction with Apple’s new version of the iPhone’s operating system, IOS 9.

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will also support LTE Advanced, a faster version of 4G currently supported by EE and Vodafone in the UK and rival manufacturers Samsung and LG. The new iPhones will also Wi-Fi calling that can be used when no mobile phone signal is available, which currently supported by EE in the UK.

The standout feature of the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is the new touchscreen technology called 3D Touch. First introduced with the Apple Watch as Force Touch and then the Apple MacBook trackpad, the pressure-sensitive touchscreen can detect various types of tap. From a single traditional tap to heavier presses, each gesture can produce a different interaction with the smartphone.

Better camera

Apple has also improved the 8-megapixel camera of the iPhone 6, fitting a new, more powerful 12-megapixel sensor on the back. The new addition is capable of shooting 4K video and takes on Samsung and other rivals with their 16-megapixel, feature-rich cameras. Apple’s iMovie app on the iPhone 6S can also edit video in 4K.

I got up at midnight and ordered my new phone. I was done in about 10 minutes. I wasn't sure how busy the website would be since they opened it up to everyone at midnight but it was no problem. It's due to be delivered on the 25th.

I just happened to read on a review website that yes, it's easily disabled.

I have an actual camera that has this feature, and it's definitely something you have to select on the menu.

I would also think it would use up battery if you were shooting off and on all day.

I haven't gotten excited about a phone in awhile. I have an iPhone 5s and have been completely happy with it. This one caught my attention immediately. The rose gold was the first thing that I really loved about it. The new features all sound great, too. We ordered it this morning & are eagerly awaiting!

The expansion of colors is a selling point, but when I got my 6+, I purchased my Otterbox before I went to the Apple Store.  I didn't leave the store until that $$ phone was in a case.  Color wasn't visible and not a selling point in my mind.

Just for grins, I take it out of the case & hold it....yeah, it's slippery....very slippery.  Back in the case you go, little one!  FYI.

I like these clear cases.  You can still see the pretty phone colors, but there still is a design.
