According to my friend (and eating partner) today is National Pancake Day and IHOP is giving away a free stack of pancakes.

Check to make sure your IHOP is doing it.

Tuesday is National Pancake Day, and IHOP restaurants across the country will offer a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes to celebrate.

The offer is valid from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with select locations extending their hours until 10 p.m. for the holiday.

Just ate 2 oatmeal pancakes with 2 slices of bacon for my breakfast/lunch. Yum!!!

Not standing in line waiting for a free pancake. LOL!!!

In my area, IHOP is asking for a donation to a local charity in return for the "free" stack of pancakes.

Not saying that's a bad thing, for the local charities anyway.

Speaking of pancakes I saw a very simple recipe recently on Facebook that I'm going to try.  You take a ripe banana, mash it up in a bowl, then add an egg and beat it all together.  Drop spoonfuls and fry it up on a griddle or pan and you have a banana pancake.  It really looked delicious!

I saw that too, I might try it but it definitely is not a pancake.

Oh, boy!  I found this just in time for dinner! (Yes, dinner.  Can't wait until tomorrow morning.)  Just bought (last week) another bottle of pure maple syrup.  The 'robust', darker amber this time.  So, I'll give it a try.  Thanks!

I saw that on my favorite morning show. Also said one of the nationally known pancake places was giving free "short plate" pancakes to all customers. They said they "could"  leave donations, that would go to 3 well respected Charities.
