Jimmy Stewart's complex portrayal of "George Bailey" in "It's a Wonderful Life".     He's aging out of his dreams for himself, flawed, despairing, tortured even ( in other words, human), but finds his faith and reason to live.

Jill Kinmont from the movie The Other Side of the Mountain.

She was a champion skier paralyzed in a skiing accident.

I've had several health issues and she inspires me to be grateful for what I do have and not focus on the negative.

If you haven't seen the movie, her boyfriend left her because he couldn't deal with it. She becomes a teacher and falls in love. There is so much more to it. I recommend it.
