Good morning to the Back Fencers :-)
I'd love to join you, if I can just remember that you're here. It would be nice if we could create a Favorites List so the threads we visit most often would be visable first. Just a thought.

I think you can tag a conversation, but I don't know exactly how to do it.

Morning all, & Thanx @Bird mama, for the November start
@house_cat, I did do that (set it up for the one's I want to be first) however I don't think you can do that for the "all" category, how did I do it, hah, don't remember, but I'm sure it was in settings, while you're in that sub-topic, like back fencers is in the among friends one. probably doesn't make sense, I'll see if I can re-do & let you know
Our weather is forecasted to be 70ish this week, sounds good to me, I still haven't finished cleaning the yard, must do tomorrow

@house_cat, got it, click on options & you can "float" that topic to top

I 'spoke' with the garden elves and sprites and they told me, if you want the leaves out of your yard Bernie, you need to do it yourself, lol.
I'll be fighting the occasional gust of wind that seems to be blowing through my part of town, but at least the sun is out and it's not bitter cold.
It appears we are going to be on the receiving end of a few days of Indian Summer. I have tomorrow off as a vacation day and didn't know the weather was going to be so nice from Monday - Wednesday. I wish I would have asked for Tuesday too.
Now my mind is racing as I think of all the things I could get done with nice weather.
I start the day tomorrow getting a mammogram.
If I can tape off the outside of the exterior of the family room door today, then I I could run over to Home Depot tomorrow, have them reshake the quart of paint I bought last month and paint the trim that I knicked with the pressure washer.
And, the weather tomorrow would be great for stringing the Christmas lights on the attached garage and my front porch. I don't go whole hog or anything, but the clips and light cords are more flexible when it is not bitter cold.
So much to do, so little daylight and nice weather in which to do it.

heard you calling Birdmama!!!! Can't beleive it's Nov. already. Yesterday Vin went to the store, they had all Halloween candy gone, and were putting up Christmas items. I just hate that!!!! I love thanksgiving and it seems to be less important as stores just don't make enough money off of it....
i do love this weather, esp. Sleeping o n my fleece sheets. If you have not tried them I would highly recommend them. Like sleeping On a baby's blanket.

Thanks for the heads up about the candy. I didn't go grocery shopping today so at least I know what to expect and won't look surprised if my local Meijer's has Christmas trees up.
The only reason I am thinking about Christmas anything is the nice weather we are going to have tomorrow. Never know in Michigan if it will warm up again after this week and it would be easier on my physically to string up the Christmas light strands.
I'll think on it some more. I got my front yard leaves up - used the new lawnmower. Still tired me out a little emptying the lawnmower bag of leaves every few rows. At least my shoulder isn't killing me from raking.

Thanks ladies.
I opted to float this topic to the top :-)
It's 3:30 PM here and I'm exhausted. I got up at 5, which was late for me, because it was actually 6 o'clock, but for the time change.
I ironed two weeks of laundry, cleaned two bathrooms, prepped Sunday lunch to schlepp over to my oldsters, cooked lunch, cleaned lunch, took care of their meds, went to the dollar store and washed and folded two loads of laundry. I think I'm missing something, but I can't remember what that is right now.
I mention all this because I don't understand how my friends and coworkers are out and about all weekend, every weekend - trips to Vegas and nearby Laughlin, Disneyland, the beach, pumpkin picking, you name it - they're never home - while I can't find enough hours in one weekend to do all the mundane things that need to be done. I must be doing something very wrong.
