Better yet, hosts like Jane, Court, and Shawn stay. The newer hosts are not any better. I'm old school, and much preferred Carolyn, Jayne Brown, Sandra, Mary Beth, and Rick.
@PhillyGirl23 If appears that they were laid off. When your employment with a company is terminated you don't get a send off. Who would want one? Even though they probably got a generous severance package, it still stings to know that the company that you worked for for 30 years in Dan's case no longer wants your services. Did you really want them to come on the air after being told that they were no longer employed with QVC. I think that would have been cruel. They both wrote touching statements on their QVC Facebook page they don't need to say anything else to the viewers.

@Effie54- I will add to that list. How Rosina Grosso lasted this long is beyond me. She is so hard, cannot stand her voice, and she seems totally disinterested in the product she is presenting. One of the worst hosts ever! I will sorely miss Carolyn and Dan.
They were not FIRED! Using that word in these circumstances is wrong, hurtful and disrespectful. They were layed off. There was a "reduction in force" and they were let go. They didn't get a big send off because they didn't resign voluntarily or retire. No company treats lay offs like it's something to be celebrated. There's no cake and balloons when you walk into HR and they tell you it's over. It's done. Here's your benefit package. This is 2023. They said their goodbye and thanked their fans on Facebook.
I agree there should have been a nice on air send off done for both of them. Even if was just like Carolyn and Dan announcing that they were leaving at the end of their last show.
My mother in law used to have a million one liners she would say. One of them was "really hate to see you go, but here's your hat...goodbye". It's like that was what the higher ups who decide who stays and who goes was saying to both of them.
