Do you make them? Keep them or gave up the idea?

I still make a small list mostly personal things I'd like to improve like time management, organization of my packing and donating, remembering to take time for myself, etc.

What about you?

I make "resolutions" ALL YEAR.    No more makeup.    No more clothes.  No cookies.     No "trash" TV.       The DEVIL always wins out, tho...

I used to do it more than I do now...and never very "stringently"...usually I'd pick a thing that was a "theme" for the coming year...something I might want to focus on a bit more.

And long ago, I made that something frivolous and fun, rather than "need to be consistent with my exercise" "need to eat less carbs" ....but more like travel more, dance more, eat some kid's cereal for a change (literally, one year, I just thought I missed things like Lucky Charms, in my usual "healthy diet" so I let myself lighten up a bit, occasionally, and that was the catalyst!) I simply decided resolutions were needed to lighten up my "adulting life" and bring more unexpected fun. Easier to keep to, that's for sure!

Lately, IF something pops in my head it might become the focus of a "thing to think of", or do more, throughout the New Year...but I don't strategically try to come up with something.

I resolve every year to be a better person than I was the year before.  Sometimes I make it but often I don't.

Generally, I no longer try to make resolutions; they usually are forgotten about mid-January. The little wheels in my brain seem to go in too many different directions and I can't remember what I'm supposed to be doing. I just finished reading a book about forgiveness and realized that, even though I say to myself that I've forgiven, many times I have not. I'm going to make a conscientious effort to really forgive some who I feel have done me wrong. I may have to put up a post-it on the fridge to remind me but it's definitely something I need to do. To forgive as we have been forgiven, that will be the thing I'll work towards in 2024.

@Carolina925 That is really a thoughtful, "inspired" (by the book) good one! ps. That fridge post it is a good idea....I have quotes to "remember" on my fridge too...it helps keep things top of mind some days when I just see the words. Smiley Happy

Absolutely not. Ever. If I see a change that I need or want to make, I just make the change.
