@hckynutjohn no joshin  here old man.my temp stays in the 50 range.its what I'm used to and if others want to pay my electric bill then they can control the thermostat

@Luvsmyfam   does your state or city offer energy audit programs for which you could qualify?   they come in and do an energy audit and there may be $$$ incentives.  or can you apply for fuel assistance? lots of folks feeling the pinch now with fuel costs and yes electric heat is a utility and also fuel.
