My ankle is totally healed

Saw the Doc this morning. Bones are totally healed and I dont need the walking boot anymore! Yeah!

He said there would be some soreness and minimal swelling for a while and not to worry about it. I can drive when I feel confident enough but to make it short trips for a while.

I see him again in 1 month to make sure all is well.

I have been very blessed to have such a good orthopedic doctor.

Thanks to all here that sent me encouragement, thoughtfulness and good tidings. It was so appreciated. Bless all of you.

@Imaoldhippie This is fantastic news! I remember when you broke your ankle- you showed so much courage and had such a great attitude about the whole thing. I'm very glad to hear that your bones are healed and you're out of the walking boot. Great job, Imaoldhippie! 🙌🤗💯

Congratulations! Not having to wear the boot is great isn't it?!

My two tiny ankle fractures from 2 1/2yrs ago healed quickly too in 5 weeks. The residual achiness did last over a year and as someone warned me stay away from uneven surfaces.

Going to the Renaissance Faire this summer will be wearing my nylon wrap ankle brace. Have you tried one of those? Found it on Amazon, it's wonderful.

And @wagirl had an ankle break around the same time too maybe she'll chime in also.

That is terrific news! So do you feel free to go out dancing and jumping for joy? I've only had one cast during my lifetime and it was for 3 months. I literally wanted to jump for joy when it was removed!

wagirl chiming in------that is great!!! And am I to think you will not need p/t? Even better. Yes you will be sore for awhile --just be careful and no shaking your groove thang for awhile!!! Elevate and ice if needed. Hurray for you!!!!
