I have Get Down on it by Kool and the Gang the last few days . I saw a video of some guys dancing to it on a basketball court and I can't keep from watching it and singing it.

@GenXmuse   I'll have to look for that!

I have stuck on my head "God Only Knows" as sung by André De Shields in the Pilot for "Brilliant Minds."  Loved his interpretation of this old Beach Boys song.  Beautiful opening for that show.

Re: My Favorite Song (today)

We don't follow Country music, but for some reason I recorded Willie Nelson's 90th birthday party.  After recently watching it, two songs have become my earworms and I watch them over and over on YouTube.

Dave Matthews -- Ain't it Funny How Time Slips Away

Beck (I don't even know who he is) -- Hands on the Wheel

@ALRATIBA

I'm going to look up all artists you mentioned who have sung Into the Mystic.

There was a time when I would crank the CD Moondance in my car and sing along with Van Morrison. I also loved Brand New Day on that same CD.

We Minnesotans love to pay homage to our home boys. This is a mural in downtown Minneapolis. Of course there are many more murals of Prince, but we love Bob Dylan too.

Re: My Favorite Song (today)

I haven't heard Dylan's version of Into the Mystic but while I love the many fantastic songs he has written it is difficult for me to imagine any vocal of his being better than anybody else's!  As a composer he is a genius.  As a vocalist he is marginally better than Yoko Ono.

A beautiful version of "Into the Mystic"  is by Paul Carrack.

That might not be a name you know but it is certainly a voice you have probably heard.

In the 70s he sang the lead vocal on the hit "How Long (has this been goin' on?)"  by the band Ace,

In the 80s he was the lead singer on "Tempted (by the fruit of another)"  by Squeeze.

He then sang the lead on "Silent Running"  and "The Living Years"  by Mike and the Mechanics.

He's released a number of solo albums that contain some beautiful tunes.  I recommend him highly!

Re: My Favorite Song (today)

I met Bob Dylan in the mid 70s. I was starstruck. I've been a fan since the 60s, still am.

I heard one of his songs the other day and have been singing it ever since.

I also have a couple of Dylan's ringtones on my phone.

Today, my favorite song is Nina Cried Power by Hozier.  Mavis Staples accompanies him.  It is great.

I love Hozier's voice!
