Thanks to everyone! And special thanks to those who provided links. I apologize for lack of clarity. It is a miserable intestinal infection, very contagious so I am trying to keep my husband away. We are using separate bathrooms and I am eating off of paper plates, plastic utensils. I am trying to touch nothing he’ll touch.

You are having a bad time of it, sorry to hear that.   I hope it works out for you.  My TKR is 1/19.  How is your rehab going?  If you feel like it, can share your post op experiences?

Vivian, my heart goes out to you. My father contracted C-diff after a hospital stay. What a miserable, messy condition to deal with.  So sorry you have to miss the festivities....but prayers go out to you for a speedy recovery and brighter days ahead.

Re: More stress

[ Edited ]

Crystaltree, my knee recovery had been going amazingly well until this setback. I cannot go to pt for 2 weeks but I was in contact with my physical therapist who emphasized that I should do all I can to continue to improve range of motion. I am trying my best to do that. The last thing I need is to have the knee sufferbecause of this miserable c-diff. Good luck with your upcoming surgery.

@Vivian

I am so very sorry to hear of this! What a sad thing for you...cannot remember, have you dealt with c-diff before? It sounds like you really know how to handle it.

I would like to ask you some questions about recognizing Alzheimer’s, but now is not the time.

i’m concerned about changes I am seeing in my DH.

Now is the time for you to really concentrate on taking care of yourself and getting well.

Know that I am thinking of you!❤️

Some of the worst infections seem to result from hospitalization. I sure hope the medications work well. You don't need more stress.
