But he did have me count backwards from 100 minus 4....ugh.  I was stuck, stunned, screwed....Woman LOL  Let's see, ninety-six, ninety....two?  Um, eighty-something?  He passed me.....lol

And THANK HEAVEN those "advantage" TV commercials are over with.  Those old ladies with the creaking voices, and repeating the phone numbers a dozen times are too much to take...   di

I declined to do it.  My doctor doesn't rush his patients through appts.  After at least 30 minutes of me describing symptoms and tests and all that, I said I'm not doing the wellnesss exam with the clock and stuff. And he said you don't need to. I can tell you're just fine by how you're speaking, the vocabulary you're using and your details on things.

The subject has never come up again.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I don't know how different they are from state to state, but I have to say that I'm VERY pleased with my Medicare Advantage plan.

I had Original Medicare first, and what I changed to is much better.

Granted, our needs and preferences will differ.

Just saying.

We always have a televisit with the nurse. Then we have a in-person visit with our PCP. It's been a few years that we've been doing it this way.

Medicare requires an annual exam. It is what it is. I get mine every year.

I credit my Medicare annual wellness exam with detecting alzheimer's very early. It's been a year and I'm doing well on medication. I plan to live normally for a long time.

I recall the first one I had at age 66. I was asked questions about if I hand railings, secure throw rugs, access to phones, alcohol use, support systems, etc. A general Depression survey was asked. The nurses are  bored to tears.

I had a young nurse, about age 25 tell me I was on too much Hydrochlorothiazide why I have to get up several times to the bathroom. She was NOT my Doctor and had no clue what aging involves! I was livid and Dr. said nothing when I told her.

A month ago I was automatically scheduled for a Wellness visit when it  was acute hip pain? My Wellness annual would be needed in five months. I wrote a long paragraph on" My Chart" they never looked at.

I wanted to draw a digital clock like the kids who dont know how to tell time on a real clock!  That is what we used to say" rubber stamp " meds. take vitals and bye.
