I can't stand it. I can't stand him. "Entitlement"
@rms1954 I have "seen" this--meaning I have seen Old Broadway Joe and knew it was something about the elderly.
I have not listened to it, I don't listen to commercials, I rarely can think of what one is when people here post about it. I just remember seeing Joe. I didn't listen to him.
Can't you just tune out commercials? Why would anyone sit and listen to them is beyond me. I look at a magazine or check my e-mail or do think about something else when they are on. To listen is to waste a whole lot of my life and I don't care to do that!
As bad as Joe is, Mike Ditka has surpassed him. This man can barely string three words together. Total lack of communication skills. Surely there are some oldsters who can speak coherently.
I think what she means by "entitlement" , is the ad pitches the one can get free rides to doctors appointments, free hearing aid batteries, free prescription glasses, etc.
The Sky looks different when you have someone you love up there.
I find all of these ads aimed at senior citizens to be thoroughly obnoxious. I suppose the so-called heroes of days-gone- by need or want to make a buck but as soon as I see these characters, I change the channel.

Agree. Seems to mislead and entice the poorest of the poor to call. I assumed "free meals" was enrolling you in meals on wheels.
