Ooh I forgot to mention, my maybells are sprouting.  I plucked some when I got home from grocery shopping and put them in a small glass of water - my kitchen smells divine.

@Bird mama  I didn't know that Lilys of the Valley were also called Maybells, they were my Mother's favorite flowers.

@

Well now, calling them maybells could be a family thing.  My family is notorious for making up words.

They do tend to grow in May though, lol.

Tonight is spaghetti and salad for DH with sauce I made and froze, do the same with pasta sauces, make a large batch and freeze, and for me leftover green soup. Smiley Happy

Hello all - short of being busy at work, nothing too exciting happening.  I pre-ordered the Earth TSV sandals (airing this Friday) and received them yesterday.  I delivered them to the post office this morning.  Not a bad shoe - just not a good fit for my skinny foot and ankles :-)

Good Morning everyone. Ran out of bagels so have nothing to leave except coffee. Will zip to Aldi's later today and get some of their bagels. They are really good. Went to Target and got some good deals on groceries yesterday but did not get bagels - really like the ones at Aldi's better than any I have found in a very long time. Seems all through the years have changed how they make them. When I get a cinnamon and raisin bagel I want them to TASTE like that, not just whatever.

Another super chilly morning and the neighbor this morning - trash day so all the containers are out on the street - have five cars parked out there. They are a nightmare and will not park any of their vehicles inside their yard where most others do. Most of us do not use the street unless our driveways will not accommodate visitors cars - not those people. They started with one car and now have four each day and have people stay over. Not sure where they all stay in that house. This is a little narrow one block long street and my house is the last one so everyone turns around HERE and it is beginning to drive me nuts. Also trying to get out of my driveway can be a challenge.

Gotta get a move on - need to get this new day off to some kind of a start. Have a good day one and all.

Morning, running out to get gas hopefully before more storms arrive.

@Winifred, Yesterday got some Aldi's bagels, they are very good, will leave some with your coffee out at the fence.

@Bird mama sorry about the shoes, sometimes things just don't work out as we had hoped, I have a couple of pair like that in my closet that never got returned, will have to dig them out for the donation bag.

Not much else going on here today, have a good one!

Hello all - I was up and at 'em as soon as the alarm sounded this morning :-)

I had an 8am appointment with the Nissan service department and that means nothing to my birds.  They still need their Mama time every morning, especially Presto.

Aside from needing an oil change, which was free - customer appreciation event, I've noticed in the past month that when I brake at any speed between 50 and 60 mph, the steering wheel shudders like mad.  Doesn't happen under 50 or above 60.  When there is a problem, I tend to live with it awhile and try to figure how to repeat it so I can explain it to the service advisor.

I've had my share of service advisors look at my like I'm crazy when I tell them I heard a noise, lol.

I pretty much figured, since I haven't had to have the brakes done yet and the car is 6 years old, kiss $800 goodbye.

First time I took advantage of a courtesy vehicle.  Man, the 2016 Sentra is sharp and I wasn't even driving the fancy version.  Felt like I was gliding on a cloud.

Since the re-org rages at my company I will resist any and all urges for a new car.  Actually my 2010 Versa looks great, it's garaged at home.

The service advisor called to let me know, yeah there was a warp in the rotors that were still thick enough so they were smoothing that part out and giving me new front pads.  Back brakes look good.  I think I'll get out the door at around $300 - I nearly fell out of my chair.
