Hi Birding Friends,   It snowed at home yesterday and some today and here I am in Florida missing it!!!   It was cooler today and will be even cooler for the first part of the week and then back to the 80ies this coming weekend.

Bernie,  I hope you are feeling better.   I had Chicken with Wild Rice soup for supper.  My throat is scratchy and kind of sore and dry at times.  Sinuses I guess plus that awful nagging dry cough.   Pollen is terrible down here in the Tampa area   Everything not moving is getting covered with yellow and brownish yellow.  The patio floor has pools of yellow when I water my son's plants.   Some good heavy rain would help wash the stuff out of the air and give some relief to those of us with sinus problems.  Maybe tomorrow.

Great pictures - Miss Blackie or her twin, Conrad the Scottie, Cardinals and other beautiful creatures. Speaking of Miss Blackie, she spends most of her evenings any more up on my bed - she would not do that when the doggies or other cats were here. Interesting. She knows she now rules the roost - and she does.

Still do not feel the best but got my prescription filled yesterday for the ZPak and started them. Still think it was weird the MD said to wait a couple days before starting them - guess they wanted to make sure I needed them - I think I did. Breathing is sure difficult - am not kidding. May try and call the oxygen company to see if they can pull some strings about getting the small concentrator to take with me when I leave the house. Just trying to get somewhat comfy when I have no oxygen is not easy when I do not feel well to begin with. Makes NO sense they insurance companies, etc no longer provide the small concentrators for anyone who did not have them three years ago. Medical help - and I mean help - sure has changed in recent years. Makes no sense at all.

Today suppose to be halfway decent - about 70 or so and no rain. Now the rest of the week is suppose to be wet and very chilly. Here it is halfway through March - well almost - and we are still having this weird weather. What can I say - it is Sou Cal.

Need to fill the feeders so the feathered ones will remain happy.

@possummink  Last year, in April I fought something for a week that started viral and turned bacterial.  You know I felt bad if I turned myself into urgent care, lol.  The doctor prescribed augmentin and eye drops because I had all kinds of stuff coming out of my eyes too.  I laugh about it now, however the day I drove to urgent care I said Jesus take the wheel because seriously - I could not see out of my eyes.  Doctor gave me 10 days of augmentin, I only needed 5.  Yes, I saved the other 5 days of augmentin just in case.

Last night, after a few days of no fever, it started to ramp back up and I said, that's it - I am not getting sick like I did last year.  I started the augmentin last night around 9:30 pm.  I had that awful hacking cough hour on the hour and by morning my head was killing me near the base of my neck.  The augmentin is taken 2 times a day, 12 hours apart.  

My eyes were teary, probably from the coughing and I kept telling myself - do not touch your eyes.  So far so good.  I walk around the house with those disinfectant wipes and I wipe down the handle on the tea kettle, the door knobs, the counters, my computer keyboard - anything I touch or breathe on.  This morning, I actually sprayed a little lysol on my comforter just in case, rofl.

I'm changing my pillow cases daily and feel confident that I nipped whatever it was in the bud.  Now all I have to remember is to take the probiotics later.  With augmentin, it strips all bacteria, good and bad and I don't want to end up living in the ladies room.  I learned that last year.  

This is such a nuisance
