Hello all - it continues to be overcast with brief spurts of gentle rain.  It's been warmer here too.  Living in Michigan, I never take for granted that the warm spell will continue this early in March.  I've been through some doozy snowstorms that hit in April, lol.

Epi, although I said I rarely read books anymore, I am interested in getting Norman Schwarzkopf's biography. He was such a fascinating person and I think I would enjoy that.

We are due some nasty weather later on today and it should last through the night and into tomorrow - high winds, heavy rain, etc. We need the rains but sure hope the winds will not be as bad as they said. Unfortunately the weather experts are usually dead on when it comes to winds. Sigh.

The little black bunny is still running all around. It seems to make friends with all the critters - so far that is. Am hoping and praying it will not run into one with a bad disposition or a car when it is out sitting in the street in front of my house. Why don't people take care of their critters when they choose to have one. Just not right but I sure cannot change the world on that.

Leaving some coffee - cupboards don't have anything else to leave that I doesn't take a lot of preparation. Well I do have cereal and milk?????? Always coffee of course.

Have a great day everyone.

Back in the 30s today.   They promised us sunshine but haven't seen it yet.   The grass is trying to green up a bit but last year did a number on it. Hope those bare spits fill in.

Im trying to figure out how to keep my pinky toe stay inside some sandals I bought.  My pinkies are shorter than the rest of my toes and always creep out of the strap.   Not attractive.   I would like to figure out something for the shoe so I wouldn't have to tape my toe each time.

Re: March 2016 Back Fence

[ Edited ]

Sun is shining here today and it should be nice tomorrow.  Rain moves in on Sunday into Monday.  It looks like my grass it trying to green up a little.

I used to have bunnies running around my yard when my dog was alive.  Isn't it odd that they stopped coming around after Max passed in 2008?  You'd think, without a dog, I would be overrun.  Well I do have quite the population of squirrels and the ducks are increasing.  Lord, if the ducks have to poo somewhere I hope they keep it in my yard or my neighbors will start crabbing.  It's not like I invited the ducks.  Word got out on the bird internet and they just came.

Not raining here yet but the 5 day forecast is rain. We had  doozie of a wond and ain storm Wed night/yesterday.  We lost power.  Thank goodness for a generator.

I have a gal here cleaning today finally.  She is new but came with very good reccommendations. I have been going through papers and things that needed to be dealt with and getting rid of things.   It gives me time to do things I have let slide plus I have finished my wash. I feel so much better when everything is cleaned.

Sue we don't know much that goes on at the sheriff office as we work the front desk.  There are plenty of nutty people thow.   I just shake me head at some of the  questions they ask.

Well ktkhe last load of clothes are dry so toodle do for a while.

The little black bunny showed up yesterday right in the middle of that fierce storm with all the winds. It was sitting way out back getting pelted huddled near one of the tall sprinklers - I had to chuckle as that sprinkler sure did not give it any cover. I was so worried about it so when the rain cut back a tad I went out there and almost broke my fool neck (it was outside my fenced back yard where it is pure clay - and when that stuff gets wet (**&^&) - trying to encourage it to return home. It took two attempts to get it headed pretty much that way - did not see it again until this morning out in my front yard munching away. Grrr.

Not raining as all the experts say it will not but it sure is cold.

Queen Sue, how are you and Jim doing? Hope things are well.

Have a couple errands to run later and then will toss a pot roast in the slow cooker - at least at this point I am thinking pot roast. LOL. We shall see.

Hope one and all have a great day. Leaving some hot coffee here.

@Winifred

The rabbit wants to live with you.  No use fighting it as the rabbit has claimed you.

Don't say that Bernie - no rabbit. My neighbor who has since moved tried so hard last summer to nab those bunnies but could not get one near him - he already had two rescued bunnies. He lost one and was so upset - I think it got sick and was gone quickly. One was hopping down the street here and the other one showed up in his yard when he lived up in the mountains about a year earlier. He loved those bunnies.

Good morning one and all. Tad chilly out here in Sou Cal but then for some days now it has been cold again. The days get better but even so, light jackets or heavy sweaters are the norm - for most of us. Course there are always those out here who were shorts all year round - especially the guys - and you even see tank tops - on the ladies. Never have figure that out other than there are some who must believe since this is Sou Cal that is proper attire regardless of the weather. LOL. Personally I think it is dumb. And then you also see flip flops all year around. To each his own but I still think it is dumb!

Conrad has had his morning outside fast drill and Greenie - he loves those Greenies. They sure are good for their teeth. Kitties have all had their treats and most all have returned to their sleeping area - my bed that is. Actually Belle is in the kitchen window - she loves the windows and I guess she figures that she has been up and had her treaties it is now window time.. I guess cats can truly see in the dark. LOL.

Another good coffee morning - and of course my Slanket is wrapped around me. Love that thing. I think the many washings it has endured and it's age and usage has made it get a tad thinner - does not seem to be the warming item it use to but I sure like it.

Have a good day one and all.
