Hello all - my excitement this morning was participating in a Special Olympics Youth Expo at a local rec center.  I was in charge of the obstacle course for kids between the age of 2 1/2 and 7 years.  I ran the course with the kids - and there were bus loads of them from schools.  I've worn the knees in my jeans from crawling through the tunnels, lol

I took personal time this morning to accommodate the event and am working 4 hours at work.  I'll be glad to get out of here.  I need to blow the snow that's on my sidewalk and driveway when I get home then I will settle my birds for bed and take a nice hot bath, lol.  I'll probably be in bed by 9:30 tonight.

Afternoon, sun is shining but more snow due tonite, then a major warm up, sure has been a strange Winter but I like it.  Just hoping Spring will now be here to stay.

@Bird mama, hope you enjoyed your morning with the kids, they can sure wear you out, but it was a nice thing for you to do, too bad your company didn't give you the time  but their loss.

Have errands for tomorrow depending on the weather, nothing that urgent so we'll see

Have a good evening everyone

Well here I am complaining because in a couple days it is suppose to drop down to about 60. Well I can take that if the sun is shining. Also hope the winds will not blow!!!!

We did not get all the rain -  El Nino - we were expecting. DArn it anyway as that means we are still going through a drought. Was hoping and praying we would get some more rain. Was predicted several times and none came through. I have one fruitless mulberry I am not sure will leaf out this year. Last year it has the small twigs but NEVER grew like the limbs are suppose to. The other two I have are going to leaf out - without a doubt - but never sure with the water shortage just how full they will be. This one tree I am praying over - at this point it appears to have absolutely no life at all but then I can be fooled.

OK people, no one is leaving snack food lately. Snarl!!! Woman Mad I will again leave some cinnamon and raisin bagels - with cream cheese of course. Better hurry or I will get hungry and eat these up. LOL.

Hope all had a great day.

It's snowing here this morning and is supposed to continue through the day.   No sunshine around.

Got some one very good news yesterday.     Scott is out of rehab and is at home.   Once they got the trach out and the feeding tube removed, rehab went well.   He will have a nursing service three times a week for a while and they will have to use the wound vacuum for a month.   Still to think he was down for so long and now back at home is quite wonderful     Prayers have played a big part in his recovery and I thank you for them.

@yock

What great news!  I continue to keep a flameless candle cycling for Scott and continue to pray for a full recovery.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh Scott - you are doing just great. Prayers always work don't they Betty.

Bernie, that food looks mighty good!!!

Finished up leftovers tonight - rest of the roast, fried yellow squash and added a baked potato to round it out. Then Davey and I had a bowl of ice cream - yes, I am full. He had rainbow and I had Moose Tracks - love that stuff.

Saw a mockingbird today - was really happy about that.I am really tired - hope to hit the sack early!! I just wish they would cut back on all the politicking entirely way too early before elections. I am a firm believer in voting but each election it gets a bit worse in not being able to hear or see anything other than political stuff. Just way too much and I firmly believe that is one reason so many no longer vote.

Hope all had a great day!!

Wow what a spread out by the back fence, I won't need to eat for the rest of the day Thanx @Bird mama

We're to be heading for a big warm up for the week-end, might get to hang out sheets again if it doesn't rain.  Hopefully this will really be Spring's arrival.

Need to hit the shower, see ya later

Hello Back Fencers - Friday is here, hallelujah.  The sun is shining, well most of the time, and me and all of the birds woke up this morning so it is a good day :-)

My company is going through phases of 'business transformation' (we all know what that's code for, he he he).  I think my area gave up all of the open positions through the first round and are in the second round.  This week I heard of three union jobs that were eliminated.  One person was at a job level with enough seniority to bump another employee out, the other two will be laid off next week.

Strange times at work for sure.  The local paper posted my CEO's salary for 2015 the other day.  Went up from 7.4 million in 2014 to 9 million in 2015.  I can't even wrap my head around that much money.
