True local story. A guy went up in the canyon to smoke some dope and he finds a big spider. He tried to kill the spider by burning it with his lighter. He started a wildfire that burned 90 acres. He was arrested for starting the fire and possession of drugs.
Now PETA wants him charged with animal cruelty.
Moral of the story: don't do drugs and don't burn spiders during a drought.

I hate to admitt but I live about 10 miles where this happened. The worst part is it burned a whole mountain side.

A similar incident happened in our mountain community several years ago when a man decided to burn his used toilet paper. The fire spread through the forest and burned a number of homes before it was contained.

If he was smoking dope, who knows?.....There may not have even been a spider there. Nothing good comes from getting stoned. (Drop mic)

Wow. I don't think enough young people are getting enough basic education .... and they also seem to have stopped handing out common sense.

People who start fires and destroy land need to be held accountable and punished. This person showed stupidity and a complete lack of common sense. Inexcusable.
