None of the health professionals I have watched are sure everyone wearing a mask will change the stats on the virus. They all pretty much agree on the "on the front workers" need at least the N95 mask, but not on the "everyone" part.

The confusion seems to be those "Asymptomatic" carriers. Without testing one cannot be sure they are not afflicted with the virus. That seems to be the consensus today, but tomorrow? Who knows?

I don't have any masks and we went to the hospital yesterday and they didn't even have the ones that were always in every hospital waiting room. Empty!  Guess a big dish towel would work, maybe!

I personally think the "distancing" is more important, but what do I know?

@hckynut  That IS what they say, but not trusting those with symptoms to stay home or others to stay 6 ft. away from me, I'm protecting myself from both. There's definitely not enough testing kits for those with and without symptoms.

Since my daughter and her 3 kids live in Westchester County NY, I made a bunch of masks yesterday and sent them up to her today. I'll have another batch ready to send next week - just to make sure the kids have enough. And, I made them for my husband and myself.

respectully, no: the masks keep you from infecting anyone else. non medical masks do not protect you from others. that has been stated repeatedly.

@jackthebear ............I am well aware of why we need to wear the mask.  Even when well a person has to be able to breath freely, just wondered if so many layers would hinder that.
