@mousiegirl

I enjoyed hearing about your journey with Grey from feral to her trust in you, very heartwarming.

@hullie   He wasn't the only feral I dealt with.  Another woman and I rescued two litters, moms and babies, from two homeowner's backyards.  I brought them all home as I had a room off of the rec room where I stored foster cats.

I ended up keeping the two black kittens and the two moms as no one wants black, and the moms were too feral to be adopted, so they all lived out their lives here.  I would let them all into the yard in the morning, and they knew when dinner was near so when I called them, they all lined up and I let them in, they walked to the door leading down to the rec room, by this time the rec room was many cats inhabited, had cat trees and beds, so not too shabby of a life for such cats.

The kittens came around to be fine since I handled them all of the time, and the moms got better.  One of them would sit in the bedroom window sill and cry all night, remembering her free days, I suppose.

I could write a book, but then most people have at least one book in them. Smiley Happy

Good evening,

Yesterday I got most of my flowers planted but then the wind picked up and I just didn't want to fight the gusts...it took the fun out of planting. Today was windy with short showers so I ran some errands and now I am going to catch up on some tv programs. I resisted the temptation to pick up take out somewhere (a chicken sandwich was on my mind) but I went home and fried some chicken with homemade gravy and mashed potatoes and peas. It seems like once a week I get hungry for chicken. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish up with my planting. Then I need to get grass seed down in bare areas. My brother from Lincoln area is supposed to come down Saturday to get my beach toys set up. One of these days I will sell my paddle boat with the electric motor as I am probably needing to make chores easier, maybe this fall.

@lulutoby Have you ventured out with your rollator? I hope you get it mastered quickly.

@Tissyanne  I'm glad the new ear plugs gave you a bit more comfort with your mri, hope the test gives you positive results. We are finally coming out of our very dry spell, still have the blasted wind way too often though. The past week we have had intermittent rain storms. I could even smell the green grass when I was out planting, such a wonderful summer aroma. I am nervous for my upcoming screening next week but I am feeling better than I have felt for nearly a year so hopefully that is a good sign.

Have a great Mother's Day everyone!

May be an image of text that says 'If you were forced to spend the rest of your life In a library, a museum or a ZOO, which would you choose and why?'

Zoo for me - I love animals.  They are therapeutic and interesting.
