Re: MA governor said it!

[ Edited ]

Read abt the Martin Co Florida 10 yr old boy who blasted the school board at a meeting abt  teachers  mandating the children wear their mask constantly . He reported teachers yelling at children abt their masks . He described  feeling anxious  abt keeping it on. He said they are being told they have to leave the masks on  while outside and it is 100degrees out with no  break to get a drink. This 10 yr claimed other issues.

 So, all those need to  read what this boy is encountering while he says  teachers are taking mask breaks with their masks down . This boy pulled his mask down to drink water and was yelled out & told he had to wait till he was in his parents car.

I don't understand why some work places require testing after a person is fully vaccinated. Maybe someone can explain why it makes sense to do that?

When I worked at the hospital, we weren't required to take Covid tests unless we felt ill. We had many precautions in place, so they didn't expect the tests unless absolutely necessary.

@teganslaw , the people that I know who still had to be tested even after vaccination worked in nursing homes or hospitals.

I would guess maybe it was because at the beginning of the vaccinations, the experts were still saying that even vaccinated you could get Covid, be asymptomatic and pass it along.  Obviously that would be horrible to bring into a nursing home.

Now that the CDC has said the chances of a vaccinated person passing Covid is slim to none, the mandatory testing will be stopped?  I don't know.

@Mom2Dogs

Well maybe if kids wore masks in school the flu rates would also go down, as they have this past year.  Imagine that!!

@skatting44 I love how now you choose to listen to the science.  I'm sure you have been listening to it for the past year too ... what a joke.

Children need to be protected just like any other human life.  As more children returned to school this spring, so did the rates of infection.  Even if a child doesn't die from the virus, they can still have ongoing issues, along with MIS-C.

My children, 5 and 3, happily wear their masks and will continue to do so until they can be vaccinated later this year.
