@just bee Rio Rancho is a grocery wasteland and Albuquerque isn't much better. I don't know why none of the big, nice stores don't "discover" us. I love the City Market stores in Colorado.

I hear ya! And Rio Rancho "stole" our Westside Natural Grocers! When we moved here 26 years ago, there was a plan to build a Wild Oats next to Target at Coors and Irving. Never happened and then Wild Oats folded.

They do wine tastings and also have chefs that do some cooking classes. You may end up getting one. Some of the older stores have been purchased and will probably be redone in the newer version.

I'd love to have the option here in the mountains of NC, but this area as well as a northern area of SC has been covered by a private store that gradually increased holdings, called Ingles. We also have Publix which is very similar, as well as Fresh Market, Trader Joes, and Aldi.

I am very familiar with Ingles. The one in Boone is pretty good. I did not need to go when I was last there.

After emptying the car at the beach, I went to Publix instead of Food Lion because they were 5 minutes away. I hadn't seen Lowe's yet.

I was very surprised to see that their 6 pack of name brand drinks was $5.99! They were 4 for $10.99 at F.L.

There's a great little hole in the wall produce market not far from me with all local produce and the price difference between there and Publix is astronomical! It seems to be a popular place among local chefs.
I usually try to avoid Publix but it's two minutes from my home and so convenient!
