@santorini.  I don't think it was a typo, rather a misuse of the word.. "Reaching across the aisle" usually refers to cooperating with the other political party.

I know that. Most people do know the difference in those two words.

I find it not so much about the pandemic but about hate and prejudice and, yeah, the politics we've experienced in the past year.  Even without the pandemic, this poem speaks volumes.  It is a beautiful sentiment, even with the typos.

I noticed the spelling errors too. That kind of ruined the poem for me.
