Can't stay long.  Still sick but better.  I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, but I'm going to see if I can find a neurologist on my own.  I'm not hopeful.

Just found out my dad signed me up years ago for USAA auto ins Smiley Surprised  Went thru about 15 minutes on the phone with them to sign up when she said, You're already a member

Rolling-Eyes-Emoji.jpgWe are paying outrageous premiums because the girl who hit me didn't have enough ins to cover my car and I had to file on my Statefarm policy.

I've got about 38 things to do today and they all require adulthood...bleh!  Meanwhile, there's this...

@monicakm.  Awwww, no wonder you feel better.  Sweet doggie.

Did you sign up for USAA car insurance?  I've had it for years and they've been very good to me.  Both homeowners and auto.  Being a member qualifies you for lots of services.

Hope you got rid of the headache.

Admittedly, I haven't had an accident like yours, @monicakm, but how can an at-fault driver fix her car and not yours? That's crazy. Were you found to be partially responsible, too?

Was the driver insured or illegal - you know how that is.

Most accidents are not deemed 100 percent one person responsible, at least here in CA both are usually deemed at fault if both cars are moving.

I hope you meant to say insured or uninsured, @Catastrophe.

I live in a No Fault state, involved in an Dec 2024 accident that wasn't my fault...what a nightmare. My van was 23yrs old, less than 100,000 miles in excellent condition, damaged so badly that the maybe they could repair was estimated at $9-12,000 that I would have to pay, no collision insurance because of the age of my van. Now I'm out the $ to keep van in ex repair & $17,000+ for a used car. The woman who ran the stop sign blamed me & wanted $3,000 to cover her deductible....this went on for 6 months, she didn't get the $3,000 but I'm still mad about it. I could've of sued her but I was just over it & grateful we weren't hurt. Hope everything goes well for you @monicakm.

 I was found at no fault.  I was in the grass, sitting still, when she came to my side of the road just to wreck my new car.  The at-fault driver got a new car.  I never want to hear State Farm's name again when we find a new ins company.

@Catastrophe

She was a distracted driver reading on her phone with her children in the backseat.  She is a  USA citizen.  Her children said they were telling her to "get over momma".

I wasn't moving.  There were two witnesses.
