Leave it on the Porch Facebook group

[ Edited ]

I've belonged to a FB group for a few years that will save (or maybe not...lol) you money.  It was created by a couple who live in my hometown.  He is a doctor, and she is a retired principal.  It's called Leave it on the Porch, and I've attached a screenshot so you can see the exact name of the group in case you want to join it. I get nothing from sharing this information; I just thought some of you might like some of their offerings.

They get special deals for a variety of things from a variety of places...QVC, HSN, Zulily, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Best Choice, etc.  Sometimes, it's a deal that when you click on it, the discount is already applied, and sometimes, you have to copy and paste a code they provide.  It is explained in each offering.  I have bought so many things there over the years at a great discount that it's not even funny.  Cpap cleaner, heating pads, steam mop, backpack, pet products, mattress topper, bracelets, hair clips, baby toys, make-up, cleaning products, clothing, shoes...it is unreal the discounts that they can get.

It's not; I promise you.  You can look it up on FB for yourself.  I live in Springfield, Missouri, and the group owners are John Caster who is an internist here (Google him), and Joellyn Travis who is a retired principal in our school district.  Good grief. Just trying to do a nice thing!

Could you give me an example of what you have saved?

Here's an invoice (cut off the screenshot area showing my name/address) showing a heating pad with the promotion applied.  It appears this promotion was 50% off.

She's basically just giving discount codes, so I don't see how it would be a scam.  It's a Public page, so you can see the posts without joining the group.

Thanks for posting, everyone is way too paranoid!  I see lots of buy nothing groups etc on facebook, they are not scams.

Why do some people think that everythig is a scam? You did not even have to supply an example. I am one of the biggest buyers of FB Marketplace. We flip houses and have gotten some of the best deals especially appliances and other things.

@Ainhisg  Just pulled it up on my FB Page. There is also Leave it on the Porch: For Pets for those who are interested.

Will read more about the group later.
