Re: Last night was eye opening and long,

@Still keeper of the koi

My heart breaks for you.   This lovely soul gave you her everything.  You are blessed.   And she was blessed to have you as her dear DIL.  Cherish the memories.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you, your family and your dear dear MIL the next few days.  Her soul emits a light and surrounds you with love.  Fly high sweet angel.

@Still keeper of the koi....................Your words were just beautiful.  Write down what you have told us in a appreciation card and give it to her to keep.  Also, know that that wonderful lady will be taken care of by the Lord.

Re: Last night was eye opening and long,

@lolakimono

As I sit here reading these posts on the day before my 73 rd birthday, I have tears in my eyes and heart: I am still missing a very special aunt who passed several years ago.  She would call me first thing in the AM and launch into  singing " Happy Birthday. "

Your posted card described exactly how I still feel.  Whenever there is something nice happening now, I can only mentally tell her.

Before she lapsed into a come, we had one bright, light-filled moment as we said our earthly, last, loving farewell.

So, @Still keeper of the koi and others who have lost loved ones, the love continues even though there are tears in our eyes and heart.

Peace......
