What are you doing this Labor Day Weekend?  Do anything different or just typical weekend things?

For me, so far it's been typical  - took dog for a walk, did  house cleaning, hand mowed sections of the backyard that my husband is unable to get to with his tractor, washed clothes, etc. Need to go with hubby and pick up some prescription glasses we had ordered and will also do a little grocery shopping.  I think we will first stop at McDonalds for a fast meal.  Later will make a salad for tomorrow.  Hopefully it will rain later this afternoon so I won't have to water some sod and plants.  Otherwise, add watering to my list for today.

Tomorrow, my brother has an annual "end of summer/Labor Day party".  It's always very nice. About 8 - 10 people are there that we know very well.  The salad I'm taking is always a big hit - it has tri colored spiral macaroni, mayo, ranch dressing, sliced olives, tomatoes and bacon.  Looks and tastes good.

Monday, we have a pizza buffet planned that we always enjoy.  They only have the buffet on weekdays, so we can't go as often as I would like as I still work Mon-Friday.  But, I checked and they'll be open - they have the best fried chicken and pizza!!

Whatever you have planned, hope you enjoy yourself!

Unfortunately in Arizona it's far from the end of summer. We can dream though. To hot to do anything outside so in we stay in as much as possible. Maybe the temps will cool down by October.

@Meowingkitty YOU SPEAK FOR ME!

My 30th summer in AZ!

My apt is like a bunker because I have panoramic views with multiple windows in my living areas so I cover with blackout shades for what is essentially 6 months of the year!!

I read (just now) that the temps will recede into low 000's or high 90's next week...however, we KNOW that's just a "tease" because we won't experience "paradise" until October!

Hang in there (with the rest of us!!)Smiley Very Happy

@BunSnoop My goodness you have a lot going on. It made me tired just reading your tasks and plans. I'm hoping to do very little this holiday. I'm on strike.

@BunSnoop   My goodnes, you are a busy bee! My plan is to wash a load of clothes sometime today, go out somewhere to eat tomorrow and celebrate son's birthday Monday and otherwise just vegetate and read.

Not too much going on here.   I was working on laundry this morning and went to have lunch with a couple of friends, which is something I hardly ever do.  It was nice to see them though and it was fun.    Tomorrow my adult kids are coming over and DH will cook some steaks on the grill, baked potatoes and salad!   Excited as I haven't seen them much this summer, everyone's busy doing their thing.  Next week I start my window washing routine (ugghh!!).    We are traveling a bit in October so I want to get my house in tip top shape before leaving..........I have a month but you know how time flies!!

Looking forward to football season too, yay!!!!!!

We don't have plans for this weekend or Monday.   Hubby is looking for trucks with two friends so he's having a fun day today.  Since I had the house all to myself, I made it a beauty day.  Did a mani pedi and a facial.  Had my hair done yesterday.  I have naturally curl hair and I got a Deva Cut by curl specialist.  I waited 5 months for the appointment!  I love it.  I should put up the Fall decorations but we'll see how that goes.

Eating Kroger ribs.😋 Does anyone else's Kroger Grocery Store cook baby back ribs for the summer holidays? Our store sets up big grills outside and they make the most delicious ribs ever...both the sauced version and dry rubbed. We get a rack of each. When you drive into the parking lot you can already smell the aroma of the smoke from the grills. They do them for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. I've kind of always wondered if it's just a local thing or if other stores do it. They are delicious!
