So often we hear the hosts say this would be perfect for "lunch with the girls"!  Yesterday I did lunch with the girls.  They are a group that I worked with for many years!   We do it about twice a year and we have so much fun and so much to talk about!  We share the good and the bad or sad in our lives but most of the time we just have fun together!  It is a good thing for all of us!   Do any of you do the same?

When I was working, a group of girls would go out once a week for lunch.  Some of us retired this year and continue to meet for lunch each week along with some who are still on the job.  We also do other activities together.

I have a couple friends that I haven't seen since they retired years ago, that I'll be lunching with on Thursday.  At one point, we all worked in the same department.  It will be fun catching up on what they've been doing in retirement and I can bring them up to speed on the gang at the office.

Yes I get together with a couple of women that I used to work with, and we still keep in touch, we usually get together twice a year, we try for more times throughout the year, but sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.But when we do get together it is very fun, catching up  and remembering fun times and lots of laughter.......Too many times you say you are going to get together but then things happen and you don't, but we really try to keep doing it.........

It must be the time of the year, because yesterday I went to lunch with two of the women that

I used to work with. We are all retired now, and live different lives, but every few months we

have lunch, and catch up. We laughed a lot and  "lunch " went on for 3 hours. Good times.

Yes, I go out to lunch with 5 diffferent retired groups. One is my high school class girls, another is the retired teachers from my old school district, one is the girls from the last school I taught in, and another is a group from church The last group is from the retirement development where we live. Each group isorganized with a different person taking the responsibility for making reservations each month. It's all written down and emailed to each person. Needless to say, I see a lot of friends each month. It is tricky trying to keep the weight off, with all of the good food ingested each month!

Yes.  I formed deep friendships at my last place of employment before retiring that went past a co-worker relationship with each.  We are 4 and we called ourselves the Fab Four.  We took a picture to commemorate this and we look back and talk old, cherished memories.

Now that I've moved away, we get together maybe twice a year.  Always after the busy holiday season and once in the summer.  There have been babies born, homes finally paid for, trips to Copenhagen, kids off to college, etc., etc.

Every time we meet it's as though time stood still and we pick up where we left off.  True friends of mine.  Heart

I grew up in So. Calif and we moved out here (mid west) five years ago and I MISS my friends!!  They are several I grew up with going back to 4th grade~!  Most I met in Jr. High and a couple from High School.  We'd meet every Wednesday for breakfast but it was at 10:00 so it was more or less lunch!!  Four of us meet religiously, the others would come when they could.....  DH said we could take a trip back to see them all one day!  We gotta do it!!!

yes, i have friends and we lunch and have regular get togethers.  we have a regular support system for each other in case one or the other needs it besides the fun aspect of it.

Absolutely positively I do and we have laughs and good conversation. The most regular lunches are with co workers retired like myself; however, I  meet some that are still working and catch up on the office "gossip". LOL The best of times. <3
