We had that gross meal when I was growing up because it was cheap. I would never touch it.

I stopped buying whole chicken decades ago. I prefer pheasants & cornish hens.

Oh, I love liver and onions and they are so good for you. My hematologist/oncologist would like me to eat them every other day and seafood the other days.

The liver filters blood and a healthy liver is a good liver and helps the body's immune system remain active. The liver breaks down and removes toxins, including alcohol, drugs, and heavy metals. The liver does not store nasty stuff, it gets rid of it.

OMG everyone has something they like or dislike and it's ok to voice their opinion I guarantee that ! I love liver and onions, my grandma used to make that dish and it was so good !

once very popular dish, me personally I do not eat anything liver as it is the organ that traps and filters all the junk, so basically eating what the liver did not filter out.....agree yuk!
@northiie57. Look up the nutritional value of liver. It aces everything else, is 100% edible with no waste and is relatively inexpensive. Never heard of anyone dying of liver.

I craved liver and onions when I was pregnant, I have a problem being low on iron, I should make it again. When I first met my husband he would make chicken livers sauteed in butter, I think that and eggs was the only thing he knew how to make but it was good for two starving college students.
