Awhile ago, Kathy Lee Gifford announced she’s leaving TODAY SHOW to concentrate on “other projects”. As of this this morning, she’s sitting next to Hoda. 

Was that hat just a rumor? The article I read said she had a new skincare line coming out.

@Shanus  Isn't that one of those ad-come-on things?  I think I've seen that about Princess Kate too, which I doubt!  LOL!!!

I wish Hoda would leave.  I used to LOVE her and now she has become pretty obnoxious with the singing and dancing.  She was on the Today show today dancing with a group.  She seems to think she's an entertainer now more than a host.  

Happens to the best of them sometimes I guess!  LOL!!!  Anyway, I don't enjoy her on air the way I used to.

I have no idea but I am sure she has a contract and will have to stay until it is over. Now that Hoda is an anchor she sure doesn't need the show with Kathie Lee but I bet it gets high ratings. Last I heard the Today show was quite a bit behind GMA in the ratings. That was a while ago during the Matt Lauer debacle.

When Hoda was offered the Anchor job there was probably a clause about the Kathie Lee/Hoda hour that she will have to honor. Hoda seemes stretched pretty thin these days.

The Today show has to me become unwatchable since Matt left.  It is more like Hoda and Kathy Lee than Today.  It's the mommy and me gabfest now.  They don't cover much of interest to me any more.

I liked Matt Lauer's interviews, and they had a greater variety then.  I haven't watched it since he left.  It's sad there aren't any morning shows now with a good variety of insightful information.  I am SO sick of celebrities!

            @Sooner is right.   It's one of those fake ads that use celebrity names as clickbait to get people to the site (which usually is tricked out to look like a news, or medical, or health site, that sort of thing).   (Just do an internet search for something like "fake skin care ads with celebrity names" to read about it.)    Some of the celebrities have spoken out about it, while others have ignored it.   That makes me think it's hard to stop the activity, probably a lot of legal loopholes or something -- I've never pursued it further to find out.

I read she has other projects that she is working in but she is not leaving the Today show. I stopped watching a couple months ago when they became kind of obnoxious!

These fake stories appear all over the internet. The headline is always the same. So-and-so is leaving her lucrative position to devote more time to some bogus skin care line. It is nonsense. Read stories on the internet with a huge grain of salt and skepticism.

@Vivian I agree!  AOL is the worst!  A friend of mine called me recently.  She knows I watch GMA in the morning sometimes.  She wanted to alert me that Amy Rorhbach had walked off the set!!!!  She thought I'd like to know.  (Of course, it's one of those "come-on" pieces of junk on the side of the AOL home page and my friend "bit", for some reason!
