Life-long Philadelphian here. I TAKE a shower, not have or get, I take.

And if I were to bathe, I'd TAKE a bath. But I only shower, not bathe.

I drink soda.

Live in the Northeast, I take a bath, but shower the suds off afterwards.

It's soda and carbonated beverage in my area, but in my house we go by brand names. I'm going to the store for Pepsi, Sprite, Fresca, and so on. In the store, I might ask someone "Where's the Pepsi?"

I get a bath... I am from Pittsburgh originally and we always said “red up the room” and we drank Pop. When I moved to eastern Pa. it took me forever to get used to saying “soda”. It still sounds odd to me.

@vermint Ditto to all in NC except some nights in addition to morning shower, before bed, I take a warm, relaxing bath...lavender bath salts, votive candles, jets on high....Ahhhh!
