YEARS (eons) ago when I was about 11, we went to Knott's Berry Farm and standing nearby was John Wayne and one of his sons.
My mom was so thrilled to meet him and got his autograph on the back of a prescription & had to have the doctor give her a new Rx so she could keep the autograph.
I only remember him as being very tall and friendly.

I was on stage with Penn and Teller.I was picked out of the audience for one of their illusions.

David Cassidy, John Travolta, Kirk Cameron, Hulk Hogan. Not all at the same time. LOL

Bill Clinton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Alton Brown, the Dugger family. Met them all at the Barnes & Noble where I worked for sixteen years. They were all doing book signings. It's funny when you have a preconceived idea about a public figure, and then meet them, how different (or not) your idea is. Most are very nice. It was wild when Clinton came. Secret Service, bomb sniffing dogs. It was quite a day!

Raymond Burr
I was in elementary school when I met Raymond Burr. He was so nice to a little girl. I met John Saxon when I was in high school. He was nice too, signed an autograph and talked awhile.
I met Robert Redford just briefly. My husband interviewed him for a radio show.

@Citrine1 You met many big stars. Kirk Cameron, I was crazy for him when he was on Growing Pains!
@threecees It was while Kirk Cameron was on Growning Pains that I met him. I was at a classic car show in Philly and they used to have stands with various stars. You could shake their hand, take a pic, say hello, whatever. He was just a kid at the time -- so cute, though. Oh, I just remembered that I met Lou Ferigno there too. hahahaha
That's where I met Hulk Hogan and John Travolta as well. JT was on Welcome Back Kotter at the time as Vinny Barbarino. Not really a big star yet.
I met David Cassidy at a book signing. I bought a copy of his book "Come on, Get Happy."
Was it at a race that you met Jimmie Johnson? I've been to races at Dover and Pocono, but never met any of the drivers.
