Sitting here resting my leg today. I couldn't hardly get up on it today. I broke down and took an Advil. I have to be super careful with it as my stomach will rebel if I take too much. I just couldn't stand the pain anymore. I even broke down and made an appointment to get into see my orthopedic doctor. I can't get in until the 28th of June. "Suffering succotash." I still haven't heard back from the endocrinologists yet. I use to be a patient woman, but as I've aged it's not my best virtue any longer.

Weather here is ok today. Mild, I would say. Very nice breeze and in the 80's and humidity is lower than it has been. I still can't open windows due to grass pollen being high and all the wind.

We had a very nice dinner last night for our anniversary. Food was perfect and service was out standing. Thank goodness they had a parking place by the ramp. The restaurant even treated us to a pink squirrel Woman Happy I suppose I did too much walking yesterday and now I am paying for it. Can't win.

@possummink

Thank You for the anniversary wishes! OMG how do you take that humidity? I would be as limp as an un watered daisy.  Me and heat our enemies to the hilt.

@Leeny

So sorry to hear you're in such pain.  I sure hope it won't stay that bad until your doctor appointment.  And hopefully then he will be able to give you something to alleviate it.

@viva923  don't beat yourself over your bloodwork.

First:  I think it is important to address health concerns and to take them seriously.

Second:  I think your health is importan Viva so I am not writing this to shut your down.

Three:  You may never get it perfect.  My Ma in her old age had high cholesterol.  She was thin, didn't eat garbage food, was a pioneer in making skinless chicken (before it became popular) didn't cook in fats, etc.  For a year she ate so much oatmeal I thought I was gonna die, lol.

After denying herself practically everything, a year later there was no change in her blood work.  She had genetically high cholesterol - it was in her genes. She said you know what - bunk this (hehehe).

Woman lived into her 80's and one mistake during an ER visit (overdosed her for fractured ribs) caused respiratory failure and began the year of the end.

Here's my point - you do the best you can.  You take your medication, you are in a constant state of motion to keep your heart healthy on a daily basis without fail.

These doctors sometime measure how they think their patients are doing based on numbers on a page.  Did the doctor bother asking you how you feel?  How you are doing?  That needs to be the benchmark as far as I'm concerned.

Now they got you feeling bad like you have somehow failed and not been a good patient.  This is going to get your nervous and stressed out which is not helpful.
