really not much today

very hot and humid today-did hang out clothes all dried and folded and put away

got morn walk in

will be going out in a little bit for my afternoon walk

not much else. later all

Happy to say that Luther did well last night with all the fireworks being shot off. He did bark, but just a time or two, then settled.

A funny story about yesterday. 

I delivered the cookies to the Veterans Home Thursday morning. Said hello to several people sitting in the lobby.

Was standing at the reception desk waiting for someone to come take the cookies when a gentleman came from the back and said something to the effect that "they" should be getting here anytime now. So I asked if he was having company and he said yes. Then a group of people came in (not his company) and one of them was a man, with what looked like a kilt on. The veteran stepped closer to me and said, "Is that guy wearing a skirt?" I say, looks like it, lol. So, veteran says, ok, I thought so, with a baffled expression on his face, then he moved on about 10' or so over. After these people moved on by, I stepped over to the vet and said, maybe he's Scottish (the "kilt" was plaid), the vet gave me a thumbs up and said, "That's gotta be it, that makes more sense".

They often have people in to entertain and they may have been part of that, IDK, but, I laughed all the way home.

I may have to start visiting out there more often, just for more of these conversations, lol. I gotta say, I enjoyed that.
