@Bird mama, my regular doc ordered an ambulatory 72 hour eeg. That took 3 weeks to get set up, but I did that last week. Then on Monday of this week, the neurology dept finally called to set up apptmt with a neurologist, which isn't till the end of Aug., so, no one is in any hurry, lol. I assumed when the University Hospital's neurology dept. called to make the apptmt, that something showed up on the eeg, otherwise there would be no reason to see the actual doc. Sure enough, on Tuesday, my regular doctor's nurse called me to say they saw some "abnormalities" on the test. So, I wasn't surprised, I expected it. Heck, I expected it for the past year! I also expect that I just need to adjust or change my medication, and I'll be fine. If I can make it for another 2 months without any issues, that is. Sorry, I know I sound ticked off, cause I am, lol. I mean, it's been a year now since I asked about checking the medication angle of this. Because, while I don't know if my heart condition would cause the symptoms that I originally went to the doctor about, but it has always seemed like it was this neurological thing, to me. In the meantime, I'm just continuing on like everything is normal, lol.

I ordered groceries that were delivered last Thursday that included the store's deli chicken salad that I've had b4. I ate the chicken salad & an English muffin at 7pm Thursday, & and got terribly sick at 9pm. I was up sick until 2am Friday, & it took until Monday b4 my stomach was no longer queasy. I didn't lose any weight tho.

I swear my mother was the original person with an eating disorder. Whenever she had a cold or the flu, she'd say, "Well at least I should lose a little weight from this." Lol

On Monday, my lawn guy was here. On Tuesday, I went outside & weed wacked the clover that he missed LOL. I think I'm getting carried away with the weed wacking. I've gone through 7 spools of line, have 5 spools in the garage, & ordered 10 more spools last night. Yikes.

@Snicks1  Hang in there.

@Snicks1  I'm sorry that you have to wait that long to see the neurologist.  It's like that here in Michigan too.  I'm glad that your regular doctor got off her *ss and ordered the EEG.  At least things are moving in the right direction.

ooh @Desert Lily  so you think it was food poisoning from the chicken salad?  I'm borderline obsessive when it comes to dishes like devilled eggs, macaroni and potatoe salad.  If we are eating something like that in the summer, I don't care if we're in my A/C house.  My sister will take her serving and I will take mine and then say, the bowls will be in the fridge if you want seconds, help yourself.

This is how I see it @viva923   You've been plagued by that toe for a long time.  You're wise to get a second opinion and it's only 3 days after the regular foot doctor.  Just be really careful in this hot and steamy weather and take it easy when you take your walks.  After that, follow your gut.

I felt kinda rushed after waiting 3 weeks to see a foot doctor in the first place.  I got the first guy who happened to be available - nice man who no longer performs surgery.  He felt a sense of urgency because the kind of break that I had in my heel (called a tongue fracture) has a tendency to get bigger if left unattended to.  I think he pressured the partner in the practice to see me the next day.  Everything I read said a CT scan would be required before surgery was determined.  Second doctor had the cast that the first doctor had put on removed, looked at both feet and said surgery.  Then I find out it's that Friday.

I ain't gonna lie - it happened really fast in a matter of a week after waiting.  I figured I might as well agree while we were talking 2 scr*ws in the foot.  If left unattended I saw worse breaks online that had all kinda of hardware in there to piece back the heel bone.

Pray for advice and guidance - you'll know the right way to go for you.

@Bird mama  I think the store employees might have mishandled the salad & a few other perishables I received on Thursday. The ice cream was dripping, the frozen waffles were soggy like a dish rag, & the egg carton was warm.  - I threw all of those things out. At 1st by the taste, I thought the deli used a new salad recipe. I ate less than half of a scoop bc I didn't like that it didn't taste like usual.

My groceries had arrived at 3:30 Thursday & I immediately put the salad in the refrigerator. I ate it 3.5 hours later. I called the store Friday morning. I received a credit & a replacement order (& other items) today & spoke to the delivery driver. He showed me how the cold & frozen items are supposed to be packed (dry ice, cooler cases, etc.) And since he's taking over the route, he said he won't give me anything that isn't packed right or is warm.

No more mayo deli salads in summer for me.

Good morning. And, Happy July 4th!
We had storms overnight, and continuing now. Flash flooding, some roads closed, etc. Should have a break in the storms around midday, then back to stormy in the afternoon and evening. Not the best weather for this holiday.
I made several batches of cookies yesterday for the local Veterans Home to add to whatever other festivities they have today. I have them all packaged up and ready to be delivered, which I will do during the storm break.
I don't really have any plans for today, which is odd because we always used to have big gatherings on this day, but it's ok, I prefer, these days, to live much more quietly.
I hope you enjoy your day, however you choose to celebrate it!
