Belated Happy New Year to all my Friends here at the Bird Nest.

Thank you @Bird mama, Bernie, for our new and first perch of the year.

Lots going on with family, one granddaughter moved into an apartment with one of her friends and another girl. Don't know how she'll like being away from her mom as they are very close. She's 22 and when I was 22 I wouldn't have been ready to be on my own. Didn't want to leave the farm.

Jillian and Thomas's household goods arrived Monday and there were quite a few broken items. They'll be filing a claim with the Army I guess.

Lots of rain last night and out high today is about 66 with the low tonight dropping like a rock to the mid 30ies.

I'm sorry that the kids household items arrived broken Mary Kay @possummink I hope they didn't lose anything sentimental.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

I've been reading your posts,but not much to say from here. Jen went back to work yesterday. I think it's a good thing as she doesn't know what to do at home. I believe her husband's ashes will be ready to pick up in the next day or so. He was in the army for 20 yrs. He played in "Pershing's Own" band at Arlington National Cemetery where he will be buried. They have a area set aside form former band members. When that will be is anyone's guess. Because of people all over the country waiting to be interred. It could be 6 mos.,or 12-14 mos.

so,wewait. Jen comes over for dinner. Whatever she needs we will do.
it has been unbelievable here,in the middle to high 60's. Don't k now what I'll do when it gets really cold again.

hello EPI, your daughter is taking steps to pick up her life going back to work is one of those baby steps,so little anyone can do except be ready for listening,lending a shoulder.

did get my chores done got computer room cleaned, readied the t.v./make up room for tomorrow cleaning.

got morn walk done,that is all for now,later guys

Good to hear from you It's good your daughter went back to work so that she can try to be around people. It's nice you can be there for her too.

Our SIL's dad is buried in Arlington Cemetery, sadly to say SIL has never gotten to his grave.. it's a long sad story.

I went and had my injections in my back yesterday and was I out of it went I came home. He had to give me more sedation and boy did I feel it.

Then today, was my dentist appointment. Thank heavens that went well. No work to be done. Just x-rays and cleaning today.

Cloudy and miserable outside. It's slushy and messy everywhere.
