Guess I had best take a better wake up pill these days - never saw the Bird Nest yesterday and this morning decided to really look for it - there it was. Had forgotten to check thru everything. Geesh. I always set certain subject posts as a float to the top - so yesterday I only looked at the top. Used my brain this morning and here it was. Thanks Bernie and Possum, your pictures - as usual - are super great!!! But they make you think - stay warm everyone.

I need to get out today - have been putting it off - and fill up the feeders - only fair to my feathered friends that they like us, eat well to get the new year off to a good start.

For some reason my instincts are all off - seems to me there was no where near the amount of football there usually is. Always watch the Rose Bowl and when I had the time, could not even find it on TV. Course they have those other channels which now carry a lot of the sporting things and I NEVER watch those channels. Me? Just look for CBS, NBC, ABC and two local stations - others are a nothing for me.

It was cold today and I'm hearing it's gonna be much colder (sub zero) later this week.  Brrrr.  It was back to work for me today.
