Nice start to the new year. I thought I had some cole slaw in fridge but must have eaten it. Gotta have cabbage on New Year's Day.

Happy New Year, my Birding Friends, It's a bitter cold one here today We dropped to -7 degrees here this am and I don't think it got above 6 degrees all day. I freeze if I take too long to fill the feeders and toss the seed over on the drive. Silly me tried to do it without my mittens on earlier. Had to rush inside, leaving the barrels open and the bags of bird seed sitting out unprotected from the flying piggies and the furry pigs(squirels). I made it back out, wearing my thick mittens, and finished feeding all the 'stock'. The Titmice were very impatient today along with the Cardinals Going to have to make a run over to Rural King in IL and Wild Birds here in MO to get what I need to keep the feathered ones happy
