Happy New Year to all my Birding Friends! I pray that 2016 is a year of hope, love and peace for each one of you. It has been a treat for me to be allowed to stop by the Bird's Nest over the years. You are a caring group and I have appreciated your friendship. God Bless you all!

A great beginning to the New Year - have my black eyed peas cooking, washed a load of clothes and HUNG THEM OUT IN THE FREEZING air, four legged critters happy and content. Davey still asleep AND Tessa, Ricky and Leah stayed with friends last night. I stayed in the bed until 6 this morning - what a delight that was. LOL. In between am watching the Rose Bowl Parade with Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards - I will miss those two. This is their last time hosting - they have hosted that Parade for 34 years and are a great combo. Both said they wanted to leave BEFORE people said to get rid of them. Smart people but will sure miss them. They are sooooooooooo good. They are on Channel 5 in Los Angeles yet my oldest Grand watches them in Topeka so from what I have heard people have watched them all over the USA. They will be missed. Channel 5 is NOT one of the major broadcasting venue, i.e. cbs, nbc, et al

Thanks for making sure the Nest is ready for another year Birdmama.

Hope one and all have a great day. STill must get outside again and fill those feeders, mercy me but the feathered ones are eating like there is no tomorrow.

Thank you, Bernie, for our new nest for the New Year's start. Hard to believe the holidays are over already.

We got back late this afternoon from our friend's home on the other side of Orlando. Had a nice New Year's Eve supper and get together, but went back to our hotel before midnight. Checked in with the family back home in soggy Missouri and my sister in soggy Texas. My brothers were at a big New Year's Eve party at my sister in law's brother's home. My DD didn't drive over there (about 70 miles) by herself, as the GDs had parties to go to with friends.

We may get some cooler weather and rain over the weekend. Even the residents of FL are sick of the mid 80ies at this time of year.
