Glad you got your washer problem resolved Bernie - seems this day and time there is always something out there to make things difficult.

Feel sorry about all the WM stores closing. I was never a fan of them, actually I thought they were terrible until my oldest Grand in Topeka took me to a Super WM there where she lives. I could not believe the difference. Came back to Ca after the visit and stores here were just as junky as ever. THEN they built a Super WM in Beaumont - I sure spend a lot of time there. Have learned however, they are NOT one of the low price leaders although I believe they kind of put that out there. No way but the store is immaculate, lighting done by the amount of light outside so they save energy and aisles are NOT cluttered. Also one can usually find what they are looking for there. Yes!!! San Bernardino has one of the express stores - I have been there and while it is small, it is clean and the prices are much better than their regular WMs. Am surprised they do not do a lot of business quite frankly.

Suppose to be very pretty out here in Sou Cal today. Temps will be nice, not real warm, but a lot of sunshine. Do not let that fool you, still froze last night.

Sears delivered and I am using my new washer as I type.  Boy am I happy.

Is it a Kenmore?  I swear by Kenmores.  My Dad swore by them LOL.  I hope this delivery guy was not creepy! 

It was sleeting this morning in our area...now it's pushing 45, sunny, and mild.  Handsome woke me up so I could see it.

We're sitting here bored to death watching the Panthers/Seahawks game.  Neither one of us is a Panthers fan...he likes the Steelers and I've been a cheese head forever.  I used to say, "I've been a Packers fan since Guy Lombardo was the coach," but no one nowadays gets that joke.  It's a stupid joke, granted, but there was a time when I'd at least get a chuckle out of it!

I'm waiting for a load of wash to finish...it must be laundry day LOL.  Then, we'll go out to dinner and grocery shopping.

I'm completely swamped at work with taxes, insurance audits, and year-end qwap, which I have to do at home as well.  I'm just exhausted.

I hope all of you are doing well...I pray for each of you when I read thru the thread to catch up.

Wimifred,I totally agree with you on Wallmart,I hate that store. It's always a mess,junk in the aisles. 

Bernie,glad you finally got your washer going. This summer when we needed a new fridge just went straight to sears. Never have had a complaint with them.

turnning God awfull cold tomorrow,and I must go out as I have my 6 mo. Mammogram in the  AM. If it wasn't for that I'd be staying in by the fireplace.then next day my pain Managment Dr.,who I must see every month.guess I can't complain,as this far we have had good weather.we have an all electric home,three levels and have not had  a bill for over 90 some dollars for one month so far. Know that will change with this months weather.

Thinking of you Epi as you get the squeeze.   

We bought our washer and dryer from Sears too.  So far so good.    I really don't know how two people have so much laundry. The washer regulates water so I think I wash smaller loads.  I have a load of socks In Now. I hate matching them up. I told hubby let's buy only one color and style except for the white ones.  He agrees then I find Mavericks that he's picked up as he travels.   He likes to pull his socks up sharply making knee highs out of ankle highs and thus breaking all the elasti. So they look like porcupines.  He says no one can see them when I try to throw them out.   Right.

It's bitter cold and windy here.  I feel bad for the squirrels and birds and have fed them twice today.

I think after having a rocky week (last week), things could be looking up, lol.

My sister is going to be getting a courtesy vehicle from the dealer today.  This means I will have my younger and more reliable car back today.  They think the body shop will be done with her car in a day or two.

thanks ladies,but I did not make it to my mammogram today had a really bad night,ran out of muscle relaxers,so I will have to reschedule. That's all right,they don't have a long wait time....

Epi, sorry to hear you did not feel up for your mammo. Start feeling better quick now lady!!!!!

Cold this morning but not that horrible biting cold - I guess that is better. LOL. We were suppose to have some rain last night - did not happen. Last several rain forecasts never occurred yet the weather experts still say we are in an El Nino. Interesting in that it has not rained in over a week our ground is still muddy - usually it sinks in so quickly you would never know it ever rained. Interesting.

Holiday from school yesterday, the rat race begins again today. Am sure Davey is just thrilled. Am proud of him, he was a bit more sociable yesterday - have no clue why but no mumbling or ignoring me. We shall see how long that lasts. I think his cousin Khris, may call him. Khris is my former Marine great grandson who did similar chores for his family and an elderly lady with NO complaining nor reminding. That should be something.
