Hello Fencers, my day started off on a warm note - 50's. I took down my three strands of outside lights and removed the decorations from my lampost in the yard. My wreath doesn't scream Christmas so I will keep that on the front door for another week or two then swap it out for the heart wreath.
I treated myself to new kitchen curtains and family room curtains. I have to narrow windows in the family room and I bought the same pattern as the kitchen. I've washed and ironed them, cleaned the windows and installed them.
Only the kitchen window has this valance
Talk about curtains that have me written all over them, lol.
I picked up my coats from the dry cleaners and was going to tank up the old camaro, only to find my speeway gas station had covers over every single pump handle that said out of order. Wonder if they didn't get a gas delivery or if there was some kind of electric problem?
I grabbed a pizza and am enjoying my traditional old westerns line up: Big Valley, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Rawhide, Wanted Dead or Alive and the Rifleman.
Saturdays rarely get any better than this, lol.

Love the curtains and the windows, bernie! Thanks for the biotin info. I'm to see my RA doc soon and I intend to ask him if I can take it with the folic acid he prescribed for hair loss. I have thick hair so the loss is not noticable yet and I don't want it to become so. So maybe the combo will help prevent that.
Freddie, so happy the drought is, if not ended, at least there is a beginning of that end and I hope that end does not cause you to float to Arizona or somewhere!
It is coooooold in these parts! No snow, sleet or rain, but nevertheless, it is coooooold! Brrr brrr brrr!
Betty did your Dallas sister have any of this bitterly cold weather? We have tornado's in this area, but have not had one in quite some time. Did one come through her area recently?
Epi, you can reach me at aol. Sure hope you were able to enjoy the holiday's without causing your health problems to surface.
I ordered some food items from the Q before the holiday's and tonight had bacon wrapped shrimp and it was sooooo gooood! Yummee!
I still can't remember how to read everyone's post when I post so just had to rely on my memory (which ain't that great) to reply. Hope all had a nice first day of the week and that the rest of it willl be equally nice.
Happy Sunday all! Sue

It's what you would call frigid here. I know it's January but to go from 50 to 6 and then up again Is starting to get on my nerves lol.
My sis had tornados very close to her but escaped them. They had lots of rain, however and her driveway was flooded. Her grandson was due to fly out the 26th and they finally did make it after many delays. He and his dad were flying back home to San Francisco so went from rain to rain
I like Andrew Lessmans vitamins from the southern channel. He has one for healthy hair and nails that has biotin in it. I always thought he seemed to know what he was talking about

Morning, cold here also, same flux of temps. Going to get gas & pick up a few things at Sams, then home to stay warm
Supper is pork ribs w/sauerkraut & potatoes, once in the oven can forget about it till time to eat, my kind of meal.
I think the squirrels are hibernating, sure makes Sadie mad, nothing to chase, it's too cold for her to be out for long anyway so it's good.
Hope you all stay warm & snug, will leave some hot chocolate & cookies at the fence

Hello, it's definintely cooled off here. We had some freezing kind of slushy snow yesterday that I had to shovel before it froze like a skating rink. My street was a skating rink this morning, but the main roads weren't too bad during the morning commute. I think it's going to stay in the teens for a day or two. At least the wind died down - yesterday was butt ugly windy. I think I am supposed to watch out for another snow band which will drop another two inches of snow overnight.
Boy, the commute tomorrow will be riduculous.

Well, yesterday it was 66, today it's to be 22. This is crazy!!!!
Soooo good to see Sue is back!!!!!!!
I started loosing some hair about a year and half ago. No reason could be found so I went to a dermatoiligst. She told me to take biotin and Pre Natal vits.,pluss use Rogain for men twice a day. It sure did the trick, but I probably will have to stay on them.its funny going to the store to get pre natal bit., told my hubby that the next time the checkout person gives me a look I'm going to say "aren't you going to say congratulations?"LOL!!!!!!!
Nothing much going on,and that's fine with me....

Thanks Bernie!!!!!!!
it helps me get through a lot.pluss I think it keeps one sane to be able to laugh at oneself....

I worked remotely so I didn't have to fight the traffic downtown. I gave my sister my nissan while hers in the shop being repaired so I have the camaro. We got about 3 inches of snow and I was too lazy to change out my all season radials for the snow tires. I think the roads should be more tolerable tomorrow. It's been years since I drove this car in snow so the ride tomorrow could be a white knuckler, lol.

Darn it all anyway. Seems I lost another post from here. That is so weird.
Another busy day - my house is way too full right now but it should ease out as the day progresses.Still very cold here during the evening/early morning hours and it is so hard to stay warm. Of course I have the heater on but it sure is not central cooling - always wished my parents had put that in this house but they didn't and at my age, would not be worth it.
Had my annual physical yesterday and my flu shot - have never gotten a flu shot this late in the season - just too busy I guess and my mind was going way too fast or something. LOL. Did get it however and I am much relieved. The MDs office FORGOT to tell me to head to the lab for work before my visit with him so now still have that to do - not today as I could not fast - may try and fast for tomorrow morning as I only have to take Davey to school tomorrow a..m. and exercise THEN the lab is right around the corner from the gym so they will be open when I finish exercising. Should work out just fine.
Still no rain - boo hoo - but we did have a lot of sun during the day yesterday - did not make it real warm but it was livable - to a degree at any rate.
Have a great day one and all.
